Falls Angels U12 softball – MMFL weekly results

The Falls Angels girls U12 softball team swept a doubleheader against the Wisconsin Twisters on July 5th in Milwaukee Metro Fastpitch League action at Oakwood Park in Menomonee Falls, winning both games by a single run.


In the first game, the Angels beat the Twisters 5-4. Pitchers controlled the game with Kelly Berglund and Leah Badke combining to strike out four Twisters batters.

Leah also contributed 2 hits and an RBI while Marissa Igunbor added 2 RBIs.


The Angels won an exciting back and forth game in the nightcap, 9-8. The Angels jumped to early 5-0 lead, but the Twisters didn’t give up and eventually went up by 8-7 with the Angels entering their last at bat. The Angels rallied for two runs to secure the win. Karly Vigani and Michelle Butler combined to strike out 5 Twister batters. Ashley Zdroik led the hitting attack by going 3 for 3 with 2 runs scored and 2 RBIs.


The Angels are currently 7-2 in league play and in 1nd place in the MMFL U12 Blue Division.


The U12 Angels take on the Kenosha Cyclones Tuesday July 13th in Kenosha and the Racine Belles on Wednesday July 14th at Mitchell Park in Milwaukee. Both sets of doubleheaders start at 6:30 pm.


In other Angels action this week, the U16 Angels take on the Midwest Pride – Red and the U10 Angels take on the Muskego Storm. Both sets of doubleheaders are at Oakwood Park in Menomonee Falls on Monday July 12th at 6:30 pm.


The Falls Angels is a select softball program for girls 8 to 17 years old in the Menomonee Falls area.

We are actively looking for coaches and girls ages 8 to 10 years old to fill our U10 roster for next year.
