Woosencraft opens track season at WI USTFA

Retired Menomonee Falls High School Principal Richard Woosencraft opened up his masters' track season with a second in the shot put (37 feet-1inch) and a third in the discus (121-0) in the age 60-64 division of the Wisconsin USTFA Championships at Carroll University in Waukesha last weekend.

Falls soccer team issues season-ending awards

The Menomonee Falls girls soccer team recently announced its 2010 season awards.

Newcomer of the year was Janelle Botticelli, while the most improved player was Lauren Winter.

Greater Metro Conference honorable mention includes Karlie Stadler, Tanya Krznarich, Botticelli, Annie Weber and Cassie Poeske. Greater Metro All-Conference second-team were Molly Poeske while earning first honors was Jenna Woodson.

The Indian Pride and Spirit Award winner was Stadler, while the Indian Warrior Award went to Nikki Sterr. The Lady Indian Leadership Award went to Maria Selig and Tanya Krznarich

The most valuable player offensively was Woodson while Molly Poeske earned that award on defense.

Both Krznarich and Selig were named Greater Metro Conference Scholar-Athletes.
