Police Report: June 29

June 29, 2012


1Three Kohler vanity sinks and one Kraus double basin stainless steel sink, valued at $555, were stolen from a residence in the N48 W18300 block of Green Crane Drive between noon June 13 and 5 p.m. June 14. There were no signs of forced entry at the residence. Police are following up with contractors working at the property.

2A $300 double bike rack was stolen off a vehicle parked in the N84 W17100 block of Menomonee Avenue between 11 a.m. and 12:50 p.m. June 21.

3A woman's purse was stolen after she left it in her shopping cart to use the restroom at Goodwill, W178 N9315 Water Tower Place, between 3 and 3:20 p.m. June 24.

4Police are seeking a 28-year-old Glendale man for questioning in the theft of $585 of copper and bronze connectors at Trinetics, N88 W13901 Main St., which occurred June 22. The suspect, a temporary employee, was observed looking in a box of copper connectors, which was later found to be empty when he left work.


5A 20-year-old Sussex man was arrested for aggravated assault after he intentionally punched two men at a residence in the W164 N8800 block of Mill Street at 9:50 p.m. June 26. The suspect went to the residence with the intent to fight one of the victims and fled the scene prior to police arriving. He was picked up in Sussex by the Waukesha County Sheriff's Office and transported back to Menomonee Falls for processing.


6A 33-year-old Menomonee Falls man was arrested for felony drug possession when he admitted hiding three OxyContin pills in his underwear after police pulled him over for drunken driving, second offense, in the 16300 block of Silver Spring Drive at 1:50 a.m. June 24. The suspect failed field sobriety testing and was taken to the hospital for a legal blood draw, the results of which were unavailable.

7A 19-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for possession of marijuana after an officer on bike patrol discovered a plastic bag of marijuana inside a tent occupied by two people in the N85 W15200 block of Mac Arthur Drive at 10 a.m. June 26.


8A 47-year-old Menomonee Falls man was arrested for drunken driving with a passenger younger than 16 years of age after he drove his van containing his wife and two children onto a lawn in the N67 W13300 block of Daylily Drive shortly after midnight June 24. The suspect's wife was also cited for obstructing police after providing false information during the investigation.

9A 43-year-old Menomonee Falls man was arrested for drunken driving, possession of drug paraphernalia and speeding when police found a pipe with marijuana residue in his vehicle after he was pulled over on Appleton Avenue and Ridge Road at 12:30 a.m. June 26. His preliminary blood alcohol content was 0.13.


10A 53-year-old Menomonee Falls woman was transported to the hospital with unknown injuries after she struck a vehicle pulling out of a private driveway on Silver Spring Drive and Butternut Drive at 7:30 a.m. June 13. The driver of the other vehicle, a 30-year-old Pewaukee woman, was cited for failure to yield the right of way.

11A 27-year-old West Bend man was transported to the hospital with unknown injuries after he was ejected from his motorcycle on the northbound U.S. Highway 41 off-ramp to westbound Main Street at 6:35 p.m. June 22. The man was attempting to negotiate the curve when his motorcycle left the roadway and struck a ditch. He was cited for speeding and failure to have control of a vehicle.


12A basement door window was smashed at Hiawatha School, N84 W16579 Menomonee Ave., between June 11 and 1:30 p.m. June 22. Nothing was taken from out of the building, but two fire extinguishers were expelled and two coffee cups were smashed. Police collected footprint evidence at the scene and are investigating.

13An unknown suspect(s) wrote "vandalism" in black marker on a stop sign on Madison Avenue and Roosevelt Drive between 5 p.m. May 25 and 6:30 a.m. June 26.

14The driver of a Ford Fusion struck a garbage can and recycle bin, causing garbage to be strewn across a yard in the N74 W15100 block of Stoneridge Drive at 11:10 p.m. June 26. Two other similar incidents happened a short distance away on Woodview Drive and Countryside Drive at approximately the same time. A silver hubcap belonging to the vehicle was left at the scene.

Menomonee Falls police responded to two domestic violence calls between June 22 and June 27.
