Police Report: July 16

1Police are seeking a 28-year-old man in connection with the theft of a gold, 1998 Oldsmobile from a resident in the N84 W17100 block of Menomonee Avenue, that was reported to police on July 10. The victim stated she loaned the suspect her car on May 17 with the understanding it was to be returned on May 21, but it was never returned.

2An unknown male suspect shoplifted two cartons of Newport 100 cigarettes at BP Falls Amoco, N71 W13161 Appleton Ave., at 8:15 p.m. July 11. The suspect asked for the cigarettes, and when the clerk set the cartons on the counter the suspect took the items and sped off in a newer model Dodge pickup truck.


3A 49-year-old Brown Deer woman was arrested for drugged driving and possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia during a traffic stop on Pilgrim and Ridge roads at 4:15 p.m. July 7. An officer pulled the suspect over after she nearly struck a squad car, then located marijuana cigarettes and a pipe inside her car. The suspect admitted smoking marijuana while driving and was taken to the hospital for a legal blood draw.


4A 50-year-old Germantown man was arrested for drunken driving after police pulled the vehicle over for not having its headlights lighted on Pilgrim and County Line roads at 10 p.m. July 10. The suspect failed standard field sobriety testing and his blood alcohol content was 0.12.

5A 34-year-old Menomonee Falls man was arrested for drunken driving after he was pulled over for expired registration on Pilgrim Road and Menomonee River Parkway at 1:55 a.m. July 11. The suspect admitted drinking three or four mixed drinks and snorting cocaine. He was taken for a legal blood draw, the results of which were unavailable.


6A 2004 Kia Sedona started on fire while traveling southbound in the 16300 block of Pilgrim Road at 5:22 p.m. July 6. The driver pulled onto the shoulder and all occupants exited the vehicle without injury. The driver stated the vehicle received a full tuneup on July 5. The cause of the fire is unknown.


7An unknown suspect(s) used a black marker to write obscenities on a picnic table by the skate area at Village Park, N87 W17001 Garfield Drive, between 4 p.m. July 7 and 8 a.m. July 9.

8A soap bag was removed from a bathroom and thrown against an outside wall at Village Park, N87 W17001 Garfield Drive, at 8:52 p.m. July 9. Police have surveillance video of the incident and are seeking a suspect.


Menomonee Falls police responded to one domestic violence call between July 7 and July 12.
