Robbery

1Police responded to Speedway, W164 N11233 Squire Drive, after an employee reported that a tall male came into the store and tried to rob her, and then fled on foot at 11:35 p.m. July 20. The suspect, a 26-year-old Germantown man, was found sitting outside Dental Professionals and was taken into custody. The suspect told police he tried to rob the business to get police to come and shoot him. He is facing charges of possession of cocaine and drug paraphernalia and attempted robbery/theft.

Theft

2A cell phone, wallet and keys were reported stolen out of an unlocked vehicle in the W176 N9700 block of Rivercrest Drive at 5:05 p.m. July 23.

Drug possession

3Police responding to a report that a driver was slumped over the steering wheel of a minivan at McDonald's, N96 W17512 County Line Road, took the driver into custody for drug possession and a probation violation at about 1:45 a.m. July 23.

Vandalism

4The front passenger side window of a vehicle was smashed out while parked in the W175 N11900 block of Coves Lane between the evening hours of July 20 and 8:35 a.m. July 21. Nothing was reported stolen from the vehicle.

Other

5Police received a report that three males in a red vehicle held up a bag filled with marijuana in the parking lot at McDonald's, N112 W15936 Mequon Road, at about 6:55 p.m. July 18. The vehicle was last seen heading south on Fond du Lac Avenue. Police checked the area but did not find the vehicle.

6Police received a report that an unlocked vehicle was entered and rummaged through in the W167 N10500 block of Bridle Path between the evening of July 17 and the morning of July 18. Nothing was reported missing from the vehicle.

7An unlocked vehicle was entered and rummaged through in the N104 W16800 block of Thorn Apple Row on July 18.

8Two unlocked vehicles were entered and rummaged through in the W142 N9800 block of Amber Drive between the evening hours of July 19 and 6:45 a.m. July 20.

9Police received a report that a vehicle was entered and rummaged through in the W143 N9700 block of Amber Drive at 9:15 a.m. July 20. A neighbor allegedly saw a newer black SUV occupied by two males parked in front of the home at about 10 p.m. July 19, and when the neighbor walked towards the vehicle it fled. Nothing of value was stolen from the victim's vehicle.

10A 40-year-old man was taken into custody for disorderly conduct after he was found lying in the roadway on Mequon and Pilgrim Road at about 2:45 a.m. July 21.

11A resident in the W141 N10500 block of Wooded Hills Drive reported a man broke into his vehicle that was parked in his driveway at about 12:20 a.m. July 23. The suspect was inside the vehicle and fled when the resident came outside. A screwdriver was also found inside the victim's vehicle, but nothing was reported stolen.

Germantown police assisted the fire department with 20 rescue calls and one fire call between July 16 and July 24.
