Menomonee Falls Police report: August 28, 2014

 A resident in the 5500 block of Kenmore Boulevard reported someone stole her wallet out of her purse and used her credit cards to make fraudulent charges sometime between 6 p.m. on Aug. 14 and 4:30 p.m. on Aug. 15.


1An unknown person(s) stole several pieces of old exhaust and struts at Falls Auto Tech, N84 W15859 Appleton Ave., at about 6 a.m. on Aug. 18. Security footage of the incident showed a 1980s black or green Ford pickup truck entering the parking lot and then leaving southbound on Appleton Avenue with the stolen items.


2Two unknown females shoplifted $103 worth of Tequila while a third unknown female distracted employees and served as a lookout at Woodman’s, W124 N8145 Highway 145, at about 9:55 a.m. on Aug. 20. The three suspects were last seen driving away in a 2012 Chevy Impala, and police were following up with the owner of the vehicle at the time of the report.


3A 64-year-old woman was arrested for shoplifting an 8GB 4th Generation Ipod Touch in a black leather Royce brand case at Kohl’s Department Store, N95 W18000 Appleton Ave., at about 11:35 a.m. on Aug. 14. Police made contact with the suspect at her residence, where she admitted stealing the iPod. The iPod was returned to the store and she was cited for retail theft.


4An unknown person(s) stole an iPhone and a Macy’s gift card from an unlocked employee locker at JC Penney, N96 W18515 County Line Road, sometime between 8 and 10:15 p.m. on Aug. 9, and later used the gift card at Macy’s in Southridge Mall.




5A Menomonee Falls woman was arrested for disorderly conduct after she struck a man on the face with a closed fist in the 16700 block of Appleton Avenue at about 6 p.m. on Aug. 17. The same woman was later arrested for resisting an officer and obstructing an investigation at about 8:25 p.m. after she admitted threatening to “beat up” and “kill” a woman who was a witness to the incident, and then was arrested for resisting after she refused to follow police commands during questioning.


Drug possession


6A 61-year-old man was arrested for drugged driving after police received a report that he ran over a curb and sounded intoxicated at McDonald’s, N83 W15515 Appleton Ave., at about 11:45 p.m. on Aug. 18. He admitted consuming alcohol and Alprazolam, failed field sobriety tests and was taken into custody for drugged driving after a chemical breath test indicated no alcohol in his system. He was also arrested for drug possession after police found a plastic bag containing Alprazolam pills with no valid prescription and was taken into custody.


Drunken driving


7A 23-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for drunken driving after he was pulled over for rolling through a red light, making an illegal right turn and was drove left of the center line on Main Street and Grand Avenue at about 2:30 a.m. Aug. 16. He refused chemical breath testing and was taken into custody.


8A 42-year-old Menomonee Falls man was arrested for drunken driving (third offense) in the 8500 block of Town Hall Road after police received a report of an intoxicated driver leaving a nearby residence at about 5:55 p.m. on Aug. 18. A chemical breath test indicated a blood alcohol content of 0.15.


 An officer investigating a suspicious, occupied vehicle arrested a 42-year-old Milwaukee man for drunken driving after finding him asleep in the driver’s seat of his car at about 12:20 a.m. on Aug. 21. The suspect failed field sobriety tests but refused chemical breath testing and was taken into custody.




9An unknown person(s) cut the padlocks on several storage units at Woodland Farms Storage in the 16200 block of Pershing Avenue, and then forcibly removed drywall between the units sometime between 1 p.m. on Aug. 17 and 3:20 p.m. on Aug. 18. It was unknown at the time of the report if anything was stolen from the units. A damage estimate was unavailable.
