Germantown Police Report: August 14, 2014

1An unknown male driving a tan Chevy Malibu with stolen license plates left without paying for $52 of gas at Kwik Trip, W188 N10963 Maple Road, at about 11:30 a.m. Aug. 2.


2A woman reported someone stole three bottles of pain and anxiety medications out of her purse while she was shopping at Walmart, W190 N9855 Appleton Ave., at about 1:30 p.m. Aug. 3.


3A man reported someone stole his iPad out of his vehicle while it was parked at Great Clips, N112 W15800 Mequon Road, at about 7:10 p.m. Aug. 5.


4The driver of a purple Grand Am left without paying for $80 of gas at Kwik Trip, W188 N10963 Maple Road, at about 12:25 p.m. Aug. 7.


5A 27-year-old woman was arrested for shoplifting after she attempted to steal a TV set and sound bar at Walmart, W190 N9855 Appleton Ave., at about 11:55 a.m. Aug. 8.


Drug possession


6A man was arrested for possession of marijuana after a motorist reported he was walking on the shoulder of the highway on Highway 41 north at County Line Road and possibly attempting to hitchhike at about 12:25 a.m. Aug. 8.


7A 49-year-old man was arrested for possession of marijuana on Highway 41 and Holy Hill Road after a motorist called police to report a red Geo Prizm swerving out of its lane and the driver appeared to be falling asleep at about 3:15 p.m. Aug. 10.


Drunken driving


8A 49-year-old man was arrested for drunken driving on Pilgrim and School roads after a motorist saw the suspect stumbling into his vehicle at a liquor store in Menomonee Falls, called police, and then followed his vehicle into Germantown at about 1:20 p.m. Aug. 3. The suspect’s preliminary blood alcohol content was unavailable.


9A 27-year-old woman was arrested for drunken driving and cited for speeding after she rear-ended a vehicle that was turning onto County Line Road from the southbound off-ramp on Highway 41 at about 4 p.m. Aug. 4. A chemical breath test indicated a blood alcohol content of 0.14.


10A 21-year-old man was arrested for drunken driving on Highway 41 and Lannon Road at about 3:15 a.m. Aug. 9. His preliminary blood alcohol content was unavailable.


11A 55-yearold man was arrested for fifth-offense drunken driving and operating after revocation on Pilgrim Road and Starlite Drive at about 10:50 p.m. Aug. 10. He was taken to the hospital for a blood draw, the results of which were unavailable.




12A woman was transported to the hospital after she lost control of her vehicle and it rolled over several times on Highway 41 and Freistadt Road at about 1:15 p.m. July 27. The woman had swerved to avoid a tarp lying in the roadway when the accident occurred. No citations were issued.




13Germantown Rescue transported a man to Community Memorial Hospital after he was found without a pulse and not breathing as a result of a narcotics overdose in a locked restroom at Speedway, W178 N9653 Riversbend Lane, at about 5:35 p.m. Aug. 2.


14A resident called police to report an unsupervised 9-year-old was shooting a compound bow toward the street in the W162 N9800 block of Mayflower Drive at about 8:10 a.m. Aug. 5. The responding officer found the child was shooting a toy/youth bow, which was upsetting a neighbor. The child and his family were warned and advised on village ordinances about discharging weapons.


15A 47-year-old woman was arrested for having two valid warrants through the West Allis Police Department after a resident reported she was yelling obscenities at a condominium complex in the N115 W16700 block of Royal Court at about 8:55 p.m. Aug. 5. The woman was apparently upset because the condo association revoked her pool privileges.


16A man reported his girlfriend was assaulted by two unknown males while running through Kinderberg Park in the N104 W14900 block of Donges Bay Road, at about 11:30 p.m. Aug. 9. The victim stated one of the suspects -- described as two 6-foot-tall white males, possibly in their late teens, and wearing dark hooded sweatshirts -- walked up to her while she was stopped in the park and grabbed her arm with his hand. The victim pulled her arm away and ran to her residence, and the suspects drove away in an unknown vehicle. An extra patrol watch was requested in the area.


Germantown police responded to one domestic violence call and assisted the fire department with 19 rescue calls and one fire call between Aug. 2 and Aug. 11.
