Menomonee Falls Police Report: June 19, 2014

June 18, 2014


1An unknown person(s) stole a men's 29-inch mountain bike, valued at $229, from an unlocked garage in the 16500 block of Roosevelt Drive sometime between noon June 3 and 8:30 a.m. June 5. A police investigation revealed the estranged brother of a neighbor was in need of transportation and/or money to get to Chicago, and he was in a garage adjacent to the residence during the time frame of the theft and police are following up.


2A 33-year-old woman was arrested for theft and disorderly conduct after she went to the home of her former live-in boyfriend in the 5200 block of Creekwood Crossing and removed several items without consent, and then got into a physical altercation with him at about 8:25 p.m. June 6. She was later arrested in the city of Hartford after another altercation with her ex-boyfriend on June 7, where she confessed to the incident and allowed police to retrieve the stolen property.

3A man was arrested for theft after he left without paying for $42 worth of gas at Speedway, N87 W17245 Main St., at about 5:25 p.m. June 9.

4Two unknown males driving a maroon, four-door vehicle stole about 700 pounds of scrap metal worth about $100 at Wrico Stamping Co., N50 W13471 Overview Drive, between 12:35 and 1:45 p.m. June 8. The incident was captured on surveillance video and police are investigating.

5A 2005 Toyota Sienna van was stolen from a driveway in the 15100 block of Pueblo Street sometime between 10:30 p.m. June 11 and 5:25 a.m. June 12. The vehicle was left unlocked and the keys were inside the vehicle when the theft occurred.

Drug possession

6A 22-year-old woman was arrested for felony possession of heroin and drug paraphernalia after she was taken into custody for shoplifting clothing at Kohl's, N95 W18000 Appleton Ave., at about 5:10 p.m. June 5. The suspect was arrested in the driveway of her residence, where police found heroin, heroin paraphernalia and a marijuana pipe in her vehicle and purse. The suspect also admitted shoplifting from the Kohl's in Brookfield and the Wauwatosa Discovery Store earlier in the day and was cited for retail theft.

Drunken driving

7A 50-year-old man was arrested for felony drunken driving (sixth offense) after he was stopped for speeding and an unsafe lane deviation on Appleton Avenue and Highland Drive at about 12:10 a.m. June 9. A chemical breath test indicated a blood alcohol content of 0.24 and he was taken into custody.

8A 27-year-old Menomonee Falls man was arrested for drunken driving after he was pulled over for driving without tail lights on Lavergne Avenue and Kenny Lane at about 2:05 a.m. June 7. A chemical breath test indicated a blood alcohol content of 0.20.

9A 50-year-old Sussex man was arrested for drunken driving on Town Line Road and Silver Meadows Drive at about 2:10 a.m. June 11. His preliminary blood alcohol content was unavailable.


10An unknown male passed a counterfeit $20 bill at the Ciggy Shack, N80 W14956 Appleton Ave., to purchase a $1.50 lighter at about 1 p.m. June 4. The suspect, described only as a black male, drove away in a red pickup truck with a black bed cover.

11One man was arrested for disorderly conduct and another man was arrested for vandalism in the 8100 block of Valley View Drive between 6 p.m. and 7 p.m. June 6. According to police, the first suspect went into the North Hills Self Serve and punched the second suspect three times, and then second suspect went to the first suspect's home and smashed the back window out of a Jeep Grand Cherokee that was parked in the driveway.

12A resident called police after her five-pound Yorkie was bitten by a 105-pound American bulldog while she was taking the dog for a walk in the 7400 block of Wilson Drive at about 3:45 p.m. June 8. The owner of the bulldog was cited for harboring a vicious animal.

13A 27-year-old man was arrested for drugged driving (fourth offense within five years) and operating after revocation when police found a syringe in the center console of his vehicle after he drove his car into a ditch on Highway 145 and Bonnie Lane at about 11:55 p.m. June 10. The suspect admitted using heroin before driving, and was also taken into custody for bail jumping after police found he had an open case through Fond du Lac County that stipulated he maintain absolute sobriety. He was transported to the hospital for a blood draw, the results of which were unavailable.

Menomonee Falls police responded to two domestic violence calls between June 5 and June 12.
