Germantown Police Report, June 19, 2014

June 18, 2014


1An employee reported an unknown man was found rummaging around in the back room at After Hours, N136 W21931 Bonniwell Road, and then fled in a red 1998 Ford Ranger when he was confronted at about 4 p.m. June 8. Police pursued the suspect's vehicle until it was stopped at the Pioneer Plaza, where the suspect resisted arrest. An officer had to deploy a taser to subdue the suspect and he was taken into custody.


2A resident in the W162 N11700 block of Park Avenue called police to report his ex-wife stole items from his home while he was attending a graduation at about 5:55 p.m. June 8.


3An unknown person shoplifted stereo equipment at Walmart, W190 N9855 Appleton Ave., and then fled in a blue minivan with tinted windows at about 12:50 p.m. June 9. The vehicle was last seen heading towards Fleet Farm but police were unable to locate the supect(s).

4A man was arrested for shoplifting at Fleet Farm, N96 W18200 County Line Road, after he fled on foot with unpaid merchandise at about 2:40 p.m. June 9. He was arrested after he returned to his vehicle, a black 2003 Dodge Ram, after purchasing new clothes to change into at Kohl's.

5A 50-year-old man was arrested for shoplifting, possession of drug paraphernalia and alteration of an identification card at Fleet Farm, N96 W18200 County Line Road, at about 5:30 p.m. June 11.

Drunken driving

6A 45-year-old woman was arrested for drunken driving (second offense) after another motorist reported a 2004 Chevy Aveo that was swerving out of its lane in the W140 N11000 block of Country Aire Drive at about 7:05 p.m. June 9. The suspect's preliminary blood alcohol content was unavailable.


7A resident in the W174 N9700 block of Wendy Lane reported that the house across the street from him just had some windows shot out by a BB gun at about 1:20 a.m. June 8. The responding officers found numerous holes in several windows. The homeowner told police he suspects the caller might be responsible for the vandalism, but the caller would not speak with police. At about 10:05 a.m., the homeowner called police to report his neighbor (the initial caller) had a mask on and was pretending to cut off another subject's neck and leg with a chainsaw while staring at him (the victim).

8A juvenile male was arrested for vandalism after he was seen damaging mailboxes while traveling in a large, white truck in the N109 W14500 block of Lincoln Drive at about 11 p.m. June 12.


9A customer reported a haze of smoke inside Subway, N112 W15800 County Line Road, at about 2:40 p.m. June 9. The Germantown Fire Department responded, discovered an air conditioning unit was on fire and extinguished the fire.

10The Germantown Fire Department, with help from surrounding fire departments, responded to a fire at Waste Management, W132 N10487 Grant Drive, at about 10:30 p.m. June 11. The fire was on a conveyor on the south side of the building and was contained to the exterior of the business.


11A male was arrested for felony eluding and absolute sobriety violations after he fled from police during a traffic stop, which eventually ended in a one-vehicle accident on Fond du Lac Avenue and Bel Aire Lane at about 12:35 a.m. June 9. A female passenger in his car was also arrested for underage drinking.

12A resident called police to report a male was standing next to a blue vehicle on Sylvan Circle and Francese Drive in the rain and was talking to the vehicle at about 10:25 a.m. June 11. Police checked the area but could not locate the subject.

13Two males were cited for disorderly conduct on South Blackstone Drive and Blackstone Court after they had a verbal argument in the cafeteria at Germantown High School, and then moved across the street in order to fight it out at about 10:30 a.m. June 12.

Germantown police assisted with 12 rescue calls and three fire calls between June 7 and June 13.
