Police Report: March 18

1The treasurer for St. Paul's United Church of Christ, N89 W16856 Appleton Ave., reported on March 7 that unauthorized debits were made to one of the church-owned accounts between Nov. 7, 2012, and Jan. 30. The bank investigated the matter and refunded all the debits to the account and a criminal investigation is pending.

2Three rings were stolen from a residence in the N85 W14500 block of Manchester Drive between Jan. 25 and Feb. 9. Police are following up with a possible subject who stayed at the residence for several days during that time period.

3A woman in her 30s wearing a dark coat and glitter boots shoplifted four compacts of eye shadow, valued at $21, from the cosmetic aisle at Pick 'n Save, N95 W18273 County Line Road, at about 10:05 a.m. March 7. She was last seen leaving the lot in a white SUV and traveling toward JC Penney.

4An unknown man and woman shoplifted two 12-packs of beer and a bottle of brandy at Pick 'n Save, N95 W18273 County Line Road, at 11:55 a.m. March 9, and then fled in a black 2005 Chevy Malibu. The incident was captured on video surveillance and police are following up.

5An unknown subject stole $8,471 worth of metal parts from Wrico Stamping Co., N50 W13471 Overview Drive, sometime during business hours between Feb. 13 and March 7.

6A woman reported her purse was stolen from an unlocked locker at the YMCA, N84 W17501 Menomonee Ave., between 7 and 8:35 p.m. March 12.

7Three unknown women shoplifted 52 cans of Gerber Good Start baby formula, valued at $831, by hiding them in a large tote at Target, N95 W17707 Shady Lane, at 9:05 a.m. March 13, and then fled the lot in a red Pontiac Grand Prix, or similar vehicle. Police are following up with the business to obtain video surveillance and a suspect alert was sent out to all Target stores.

8A male in his late teens or early 20s driving a 2000 black, full-size Chevy conversion van left without paying for an unknown amount of gas at Petro Mart, N89 W16812 Appleton Ave., at 1:40 p.m. March 16.


9A 19-year-old Menomonee Falls man was arrested for possession of marijuana after police found 0.10 grams of marijuana in his possession during a traffic stop on Appleton Avenue and Pilgrim Road at 12:10 a.m. March 7.

10A 19-year-old Brookfield man was arrested for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia when police found a one-hitter pipe and two marijuana blunts in his car after he was pulled over for having no front license plate on Main Street and Pilgrim Road at 12:30 p.m. March 7. He was also cited for not wearing a seat belt.


11A 21-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for drunken driving after an officer observed him drifting into oncoming lanes of traffic on Main Street and Rozanne Drive, then was seen vomiting out the driver's side door after he was pulled over at 2:17 a.m. March 9. His blood alcohol content was 0.19.


12The comfort station at Mill Pond Park, N88 W16500 Main St., was spray-painted between 10:06 p.m. March 9 and 10 p.m. March 10.


13A 39-year-old Hartford man was arrested for drugged driving and possession of marijuana after police pulled him over for a defective headlight on Main Street and Sheridan Drive at 8:15 p.m. March 9. The man admitted smoking marijuana while he was driving after police questioned him about the strong odor of marijuana coming from inside his car.

14A 20-year-old Menomonee Falls woman was arrested for underage drinking after the car she was riding in was pulled over for traffic violations on Lilly Road and Silver Spring Drive at 1:45 a.m. March 13. Her BAC was 0.10. She admitted to police that she purchased the alcohol at two businesses in Menomonee Falls without being carded, and police are following up with the businesses to try and prove her claim.
