Police Report: Feb. 4

1An unknown subject(s) attempted to enter a locked vehicle by breaking the locking mechanism on the driver's door during a theft attempt in the N93 W16200 block of Megal Drive between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. Jan. 22.

2The rear license plate was stolen off a vehicle parked at Menomonee Falls North Middle School, N82 W16404 Lavergne Court, between 9 a.m. Jan. 23 and 6:50 p.m. Jan. 24.

3An unlocked vehicle was entered and ransacked in the W174 N9300 block of Joper Road between 3:30 and 8:30 a.m. Jan. 26. Nothing was reported missing from the vehicle.

4Two electric window motors, valued at $500, were stolen from a locked, 2001 Cadillac Seville parked in the sales lot at EVS, N88 W14167 Main St., between 8 p.m. Jan. 26 and 2 p.m. Jan. 27. The driver's side window was smashed to gain entry.

5An unknown man shoplifted $45 worth of rum, cigarettes and apple juice at Pick 'n Save, N95 W18273 County Line Road, at about 10:30 a.m. Jan. 27. The suspect is described as a heavyset, balding male wearing a black barn-type coat and black pants.

6A 37-year-old homeless man was arrested for shoplifting (state charge) and trespassing after he was seen concealing six bottles of vodka at Pick 'n Save, N77 W14435 Appleton Ave., at about 5:30 p.m. Jan. 29, and for stealing $155 worth of Gerber Good Start baby formula at about 10:30 a.m. Jan. 27 at the same Pick 'n Save. The man has been arrested at numerous Pick 'n Saves in and around the metro Milwaukee area and banned from Roundy's stores when these incidents took place.

7An unknown man shoplifted two bottles of vodka at Pick 'n Save, N95 W18273 County Line Road, at about 7 p.m. Jan. 29. The suspect, described as a male wearing a black jacket and jeans, fled before officer's arrival.

8A 31-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for shoplifting a basket full of baby formula at Pick 'n Save, N95 W18273 County Line Road, at 7:10 p.m. Jan. 29.


9A 27-year-old New Berlin man was arrested for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia after he was pulled over for a defective taillight on Cleveland Avenue and Pilgrim Road at 8:20 p.m. Jan. 25. He was also arrested for bail jumping, operating after revocation, an Ignition Interlock Device violation and violating drugged driving laws, pending blood test results.

10Officers responding to a noise complaint in the N88 W14800 block of Polk Drive arrested a 37-year-old Germantown man for possession of a controlled substance at 3:15 a.m. Jan. 26. The man was arrested after officers saw him throw a glass bottle containing five Clonazepam tablets to the ground in an effort to evade arrest.

11A 21-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for possession of marijuana when an officer found 12 grams of marijuana in his car after pulling him over for a taillight violation on Appleton Avenue and Premier Lane at 6:50 p.m. Jan. 27.


12A 21-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested for drunken driving and cited for speeding after an officer pulled her over for going 56-mph in a 30-mph zone on Appleton Avenue and Homestead Drive at 1:55 a.m. Jan. 26. Her blood alcohol content was 0.15.


13A 59-year-old Menomonee Falls man in the N92 W16900 block of Roger Avenue is facing possible citations for disorderly conduct and/or telephone harassment after a reporter from an online-only website received several harassing telephone calls from the subject about published articles related to the man's recent arrests between Jan. 9 and Jan. 30. Police have not been able to contact the man by phone or in person and are following up.


14Firefighters and police responded to a fire alarm with smoke at the Radisson Hotel, N88 W14750 Main St., at 2:41 a.m. Jan. 27. The alarm was sounding when police arrived and all guests had been evacuated from the building. Upon investigation, it was determined the smoke was from the contents of a fire extinguisher that had been discharged by an intoxicated hotel guest. The guest, a 27-year-old New Berlin man, was cited for disorderly conduct.

Menomonee Falls police assisted with one fire call between Jan. 23 and Jan. 29.
