Police Report: Jan. 28

1A resident reported his condominium in the W172 N11300 block of Division Road was entered and burglarized before 8:25 p.m. Jan. 18. While on the scene, officers discovered a window screen was pried open at the condo directly below the residence but the home was not entered. The suspect, a 5-feet, 10-inches tall, dark-skinned, middle-aged male wearing dark pants and a dark hooded sweat shirt, was last seen walking eastbound from the burglary scene.

2Copper pipes were stolen from a property in the N96 W15800 block of County Line Road sometime between Aug. 10 and Jan. 14.


3A woman's wallet was stolen while she was shopping at Walmart, W190 N9855 Appleton Ave., before 4:10 p.m. Jan. 19.

4Several personal items were reported stolen from a resident's room at a group home in the W164 N10500 block of Timberline Court at 6:10 p.m. Jan. 19.

5A 36-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for shoplifting ice fishing equipment at Fleet Farm, N96 W18200 County Line Road, at 1:17 p.m. Jan. 20.

6An employee called police after an unknown man attempted to shoplift two TV sets at Walmart, W190 N9855 Appleton Ave., at 12:05 p.m. Jan. 21. The man fled in a silver vehicle and was last seen driving toward County Line Road.

7A window on a locked car was broken and two cellphones and a woman's purse were stolen while the vehicle was parked in the W176 N9700 block of Rivercrest Drive before 3:45 p.m. Jan. 21. Several witnesses reported seeing a light gray van with tinted windows speeding out of the parking lot at the time of the theft.

8A resident in the N96 W14900 block of County Line Road called police to report her 21-year-old son stole about $200 from her purse on Jan. 24. Police are following up with the suspect.

9A 20-year-old man was arrested for theft after he pumped $40 worth of gas into a car and drove off without paying at Fleet Farm, N96 W18200 County Line Road, at 1:10 p.m. Jan. 24.


10A 27-year-old man was arrested for drunken driving after a hit-and-run accident on Mequon Road and Montgomery Drive at 5:30 a.m. Jan. 19. His blood alcohol content was unavailable.

11A 41-year-old man was arrested for drunken driving on County Line Road and Rivercrest Drive at 1:40 a.m. Jan. 23. His BAC was unavailable.

12A 23-year-old Germantown man was arrested for drunken driving and cited for driving too fast for conditions after he rear-ended a car at a stop sign on State Highway 175 and Pioneer Road at 12:13 a.m. Jan. 24. His BAC was 0.16.


13A 17-year-old Germantown boy was injured and transported to the hospital after the car he was riding slid across two lanes and over the centerline due to icy conditions and struck a vehicle traveling east on Mequon Road and Montgomery Drive at about 7:35 p.m. Jan. 23. The driver, a 20-year-old Milwaukee man, was cited for driving too fast for conditions and failure to have control of a vehicle.

14An 18-year-old Germantown woman was arrested for hit and run and cited for inattentive driving after she rear-ended a car while driving on Mequon Road just east of Division Road, then fled the scene at about 10 a.m. Jan. 24. Officers located the woman at Germantown High School, where she admitted striking the vehicle and leaving the scene and was taken into custody.

15Police and the Germantown Fire Department responded to a report of a subject trapped inside a burning vehicle on Mequon and Wausaukee roads at 11:04 a.m. Jan. 24. The subject was extricated by firefighters and transported to St. Mary's Hospital Ozaukee.


16A resident in the N101 W15200 block of Starlite Drive reported the words "dream," "love," "live life to the fullest" and hearts were spray-painted on the water tower base with neon pink and blue paint before 7:55 a.m. Jan. 19.


17Officers responded to Panda Express, N96 W17698 County Line Road, after a man called police to report a driver assaulted him in the drive-thru lane at about 5:40 p.m. Jan. 23. The victim told police a man confronted him, yelled in his face and grabbed his coat through his car window after he honked his horn at him. When the victim stated he was going to call police the man presented a badge and said he was the law and calling police would do no good. Police are investigating.


18Germantown police and firefighters responded to a chimney fire at a residence in the N128 W18300 Holy Hill Road at about 8:30 p.m. Jan. 23. The fire was extinguished and the home was cleared of smoke.

Germantown police responded to two domestic violence calls and assisted with 13 rescue calls and two fire calls between Jan. 19 and Jan. 25.
