Police Report: Jan. 28

1A woman's purse was stolen from her front seat while she was loading groceries into her car at Target, N95 W17707 Shady Lane, at about 10:30 a.m. Jan. 16. The unknown suspect, who fled the area in a late 1990s Mercury Cougar, used the woman's debit card four times at three different locations in Milwaukee before the card was canceled.

2A woman's purse was stolen out of a locked car while it was parked at Applebee's, W180 N9469 Premier Drive, between 7:15 and 8:40 p.m. Jan. 19. The driver's side window was smashed to gain access. The purse was recovered under a tree near the vehicle, but the victim's cash, gift cards and credit card were missing, and the suspect(s) used the credit card to purchase $28 of gas. Police are following up with video surveillance at the businesses.

3A messenger bag was stolen out of a locked vehicle parked in the N93 W16200 block of Megal Drive between 1:15 and 4:45 p.m. Jan. 21. The rear window was smashed to gain entry.

4A laptop computer was stolen out of an employee's vehicle parked at Riteway Bus Company, N83 W13410 Leon Road, between 7 a.m. and 4:25 p.m. Jan. 21. The rear window of the car was smashed to gain entry. Total loss and damage to the vehicle is estimated at $2,250.

5An unknown man shoplifted two bottles of liquor by concealing them in his pants at Pick 'n Save, N95 W18273 County Line Road, at about 2:10 p.m. Jan. 18. The incident was captured on video surveillance and police are investigating.

6A Social Security card was reportedly stolen out of a woman's purse after it was left in a grocery cart in the parking lot of Woodman's, W124 N8145 Highway 145, between 12:30 and 1:15 a.m. Jan. 19.

7A 2010 Volkswagen Jetta was stolen out of the northeast lot At EVS, N88 W14167 Main St., sometime between Jan. 15 and 5:20 p.m. Jan. 23. Also missing was one of the keys to the vehicle, which was kept in an unlocked office.


8A 21-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for possession of marijuana with intent to deliver and maintaining a drug trafficking place after police found 25 small bags containing a total of 19.3 grams of marijuana in his vehicle in the W134 N7200 block of Nelson Lane at 12:45 p.m. Jan. 20. The drugs were concealed in an empty canister disguised as a package of Nestle Coffee Mate.

9A 20-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for possession of marijuana and cited for operating while suspended, speeding and no insurance on Appleton Avenue and Monroe Drive at 1:30 a.m. Jan. 21.


10A 52-year-old Germantown man was arrested for drunken driving after he was pulled over for speeding on Appleton Avenue and Roosevelt Drive at about midnight Jan. 18. His blood alcohol content was 0.15.


11A 33-year-old Beaver Dam woman was transported to the hospital with possible injuries after the car she was riding in made a left turn in front of an oncoming vehicle on Silver Spring Drive and Lilly Road at 7:24 a.m. Jan. 23. The driver of the vehicle, a 47-year-old Beaver Dam man, was cited for failure to yield the right of way while making a left turn.


12The front passenger side tire of a Dodge Neon parked at Menomonee Falls High School, W142 N8101 Merrimac Drive, was slashed between 7:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Jan. 23.


13Officers responding to a report of a suspicious person looking into vehicles in the W148 N8800 block of Jefferson Avenue arrested a 41-year-old Milwaukee man for possession of drug paraphernalia after they found a crack pipe under the driver's seat of his car at 12:35 a.m. Jan. 19.

Menomonee Falls police responded to one domestic violence incident and assisted with one rescue call between Jan. 16 and Jan. 23.
